The best baby tracker apps for sharing with a partner

Updated

Short answer: if you both use iPhones and want sharing for free without creating accounts, Coo does that. If one of you is on Android, Huckleberry, Nara and Baby Connect work across both platforms. If you want an Apple Watch app, Baby Tracker (Nighp) and Nara have one. If you want expert sleep plans, Huckleberry's paid tiers are the best known.

Why sharing matters

Most newborn questions are about the last time something happened: last feed, last side, last nap, last diaper. When two people are on duty, a shared log means the person who just woke up knows the answer without waking the other. The two things to check are whether sharing is free and whether everyone needs to create an account.

App by app

Coo

Feeding, sleep, diapers, pumping, medicine, growth and milestones, with free sharing through iCloud and no account or servers. Free nap predictions and today's sleep schedule from your baby's wake windows, white noise, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and Live Activities. iPhone and iPad only; no Apple Watch app yet.

Huckleberry

The best-known sleep-focused tracker, with SweetSpot nap timing and personalised sleep plans in its paid tiers, plus an AI assistant. Caregivers share one login. Works on Android.

Baby Tracker (Nighp)

A long-running, detailed tracker with an Apple Watch app, PDF reports, growth charts, vaccinations and temperature. Syncing between parents is part of the Plus subscription, which covers everyone in the sync group.

Nara Baby

Free to download with sharing, wake-window routines, an Apple Watch app, medical records and photos on entries. Reviews and comparison sites report paid tiers after a trial.

Napper

Sleep first: a personalised nap schedule, a large sound library and a sleep course, on an annual subscription.

Baby Connect

Detailed medical-style reports and a web dashboard, useful if a nanny or daycare logs from a computer. It moved from a one-time purchase to a subscription.
